Hezekiah DaCosta

Executive Chef Hezekiah Dacosta knew he wanted to do something extraordinary from a young age. Unbeknownst to the Bronx native, his eye for luxury and refined pallet, rivaling that of the finest chefs, his blossoming culinary expertise would lead to the creation of ChefNTailor LLC.

Graduating with honors from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI, Dacosta masterfully crafted his sophisticated take on everyday cuisine. Quickly moving from fresh graduate to Executive Chef at The Hilton in Boston, MA, the star was quickly ascending and his reach was now in full grasp.

Black Culinary Expo | 1st Place

The Expo is to highlight, showcase, and honor the greatness which individuals, businesses and organizations within the Black culinary community possess, as well as highlighting key individuals who have dedicated themselves passionately to this industry.

Sankofa Eats Competition | 1st Place

Sankofa Eats aims to showcase local assets including local chefs, businesses, and produce while providing an opportunity to connect with the community.

The participating chefs will battle it out in the Sankofa Kitchen to make the best appetizer, entree and dessert.

Culinary Arts Program | Honoree

As the grant recipient for the C-Cap Culinary Arts program, Decosta was able to demonstrate his commitment to culinary arts and execute his vision that helped kick-start his career.
